The Bethany Endowment Board continues to invest in ministries that strengthen our congregation, support future church leaders, and make a difference in communities. During the first half of 2026, the Board approved funding for three meaningful initiatives.

Rise Against Hunger Matching Challenge

The Endowment Board has committed to matching gifts to Bethany's Rise Against Hunger campaign, dollar for dollar, up to $2,500.

This campaign will culminate in a community-wide meal packing event during God's Work Our Hands Sunday in September 2026. Together, we will pack thousands of nutritious meals that will be distributed to communities experiencing hunger around the world.

Thanks to the generosity of our congregation, we are making great progress toward unlocking the full match. Only $1,153.10 remains to be raised before we earn the entire $2,500 matching gift.

Every donation made now brings us one step closer to reaching our goal and doubling its impact.

Supporting Future Church Leaders

The Endowment Board has also renewed its commitment to Hector Mendoza Jr. as he begins his second year at Wartburg Theological Seminary. This support helps prepare future leaders for ministry in the church and reflects Bethany's ongoing commitment to theological education.

Expanding Grief Support

Funding was also approved for Grief Guide, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people navigate grief with compassion and understanding. This grant will support grief awareness training for funeral professionals across the country through statewide funeral association conferences. Funding will assist with curriculum development, marketing, training, and program delivery, allowing Grief Guide to extend its reach and impact.

Thank You

Bethany's Endowment Fund exists because of the generosity and vision of those who have invested in the future of our congregation. Through these gifts, lives are touched both within our church family and far beyond our walls.

Thank you to the Endowment Board for thoughtfully stewarding these resources and helping Bethany continue to share Christ's love in meaningful ways.
