God’s Work. Our Hands. What We Accomplished Together

What happens when a congregation comes together to put God’s love into action? A lot.

As part of our God’s Work. Our Hands., Bethany sent 216 boxed quilts and 99 Lutheran World Relief school kits on their way to Rockford. From there, they will travel to Baltimore, where they will be loaded into shipping containers and eventually find their way to schools and homes somewhere around the world.

And the 10,000 meals packaged during our Rise Against Hunger meal-packing event have now shipped and are headed to the Philippines, where they will provide nutritious food to a community in need.

Thank you to everyone who donated school supplies and to Rise Against Hunger, volunteered time, purchased a quilt, tied a quilt, shopped for school supplies, packed meals, or lent a hand at one of our stations. Together, we turned time, talent, generosity, and caring hands into tangible expressions of God’s love around the world.

God’s work. Our hands. And look what we accomplished together!
