My call to Bethany began in August 2015. Before I was called to Bethany, I served at Gilbert Lutheran Church in Gilbert, Iowa. I am a graduate of Wartburg Theological Seminary where I earned a Master of Divinity degree. Prior to beginning ordained ministry, I served First United Lutheran in Sheboygan, WI, as Director of Youth and Family Ministry. I also was an elementary teacher and a high school volleyball coach in Sheboygan. I have been married to Tom. We have two adult children, Aaron and Mitchell. Some of my interests are playing volleyball, reading, and spending time with my family and friends.
My leadership is rooted in strong honest relationships. My hope and dream for the community of Bethany is to embrace who they are in Christ and to find new and innovative ways to communicate a rich outreach focus to the larger community. It is important to me to listen to members of the congregation and members of the community of Crystal Lake to discover what Christ is doing in this place and to equip and empower leaders to serve the needs of our community and our world.
I hope when you come to visit our church you find it to be a place where you can let your hair down and be exactly who you are. You are invited, come as you are!
There is a place for you here.
We are the church that shares a living, daring confidence in God's grace. Liberated by our faith, we embrace you as a whole person--questions, complexities and all. Join us as we do God's work in Christ's name for the life of the world.
