Bethany Crafters:
Bring your crafts and share an evening of fellowship while making progress on that
scrapbook, knitting project, handwork, afghan or . . . Bethany’s crafters meet
weekly on Thursday evenings from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. Come as your schedule allows. |
Bethany Bookers at Borders:
Join other book lovers for discussion. The group meets on the 4th Monday at
7:00 p.m. For current location, call the church office. |
"Guest Who's Coming for Dinner":
Meet and eat in groups of 7 to 8 with other Bethany members in their homes. |
Holiday Potluck:
This annual Holiday Potluck Dinner is held in early December in Luther Hall. The
evening begins with a potluck dinner of holiday foods and ends with a special
musical program. |
Ice Cream Social:
Watch for this fun intergenerational gathering held mid summer each year. The evening
features music, recreational adventures for the children
and scrumptious desserts. This event is sponsored by the Senior Ministry. |
Lenten Suppers:
During Lent, the kitchen opens Wednesday evenings at 6:15 p.m. The menu is soup, salad
& bread. Buy your tickets on Sunday mornings or at the door. |
Main Beach Congregational Potluck & Concert:
Everyone is invited to the Crystal Lake Main Beach on a summer evening to enjoy a
picnic supper before hearing a special community concert. |
Pancake Breakfast:
The first Saturday in December is the Boy Scout’s Annual Pancake Breakfast and craft
fair. The breakfast is a fundraiser for Scout Troop #347 sponsored by Bethany Lutheran
Church. |
Pie Fest:
Immediately following the Wednesday, Thanksgiving Eve worship, all are invited to the
Annual Pie Fest held in Luther Hall. |
Senior Breakfast Club:
Third Mondays at 8:30 a.m. monthly. Seniors (age 60 and above) are invited to
share breakfast together at the Colonial Restaurant, Crystal Lake. The morning
includes breakfast and a brief program. |
Senior Luncheons:
Three times a year – in the fall, on Ash Wednesday, and again Maundy Thursday,
Bethany’s senior members (age 60 and above) gather for a luncheon coordinated
by the Faithful Stewards. These fellowship settings provide for more formal
programs and for spiritual growth experiences. |
Senior Holiday Outing:
Each year in December, Bethany Seniors enjoy dinner and a musical program as part of
the holiday fun. |
Spaghetti Dinner:
This all congregational event is held in February each year. The evening includes a
delicious spaghetti dinner and cake auction. |
